HoneyHoles

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 11, 2026

HoneyHoles is built to collect as little about you as possible, and we never ask for your name, email, or password. But the app does use a backend to deliver spots and process purchases, so some data is stored on our servers. Here's the full, honest picture.

Anonymous account

You don't sign up, and we never collect your name, email, or phone number. To deliver the spots you buy and remember your purchases, the app creates an anonymous account for your install — a random identifier with no personal information attached. Your unlocked spots and credit balance are stored on our servers under that identifier so they survive across app launches.

What we store on our servers

What stays on your device

If you submit a spot

Submitting a spot is optional. If you do, the app sends us the information you provide so we can review it and, if we use it, pay you:

Submission photos are stored privately and are reviewed only by our team; they are not shown to other users.

Location

If you allow location access, your position is used to show where you are on the map. It is processed on your device and is not sent to or stored by us — except that if you choose to use your current location when submitting a spot, those coordinates are included in that submission.

Purchases

Payments are processed by Apple through your Apple ID — we never see your payment details. Apple provides us a transaction identifier, which we use only to grant the credits you bought and to prevent a purchase from being counted twice.

Deleting your data

You can delete everything at any time in Profile → Delete Account & Data. This removes your on-device data and deletes your server-side records — unlocks, balances, purchase records, and any spot submissions you made, including their photos. It cannot be undone.

No tracking

HoneyHoles contains no ads, no analytics SDKs, no advertising trackers, and we do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.

Children

HoneyHoles is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from them.

If this ever changes

If a future version changes what we collect, this policy will be updated before those changes ship.
